No blender? Try these serving suggestions…

May 6, 2022

Whilst we love the rich, creamy taste you get when blending Purition with milk, we appreciate that you may not always have a blender available. The good news is that Purition is incredibly versatile so it doesn't matter if you are on the go, in the office or simply don't have a blender at hand, there are many ways to enjoy your daily Purition!
Here are our favourites...

1. Purition yoghurt bowl

It’s super quick and easy, but full of whole food goodness to keep you feeling full and satisfied for hours.

Stir 40g of Purition into 125 - 150 gr of Greek style yoghurt and enjoy. If you'd like to, top your bowl with a handful of berries, extra chopped nuts or whichever topping your diet allows.

You can always mix it in advance and put it in a jar or air tight container - it makes for a great grab-and-go breakfast option!

2. Overnight oats

A quick to prepare and simple recipe for a grab and go breakfast or lunch. Perfect if you enjoy and find meal prepping useful.

Mix 40g of Purition (any flavour), 40g of oats and 150ml of your favourite milk in a jar, or your preferred serving container. Cover and refrigerate overnight or for a minimum of 4 hours. We love to top ours with a dollop of yoghurt and some berries. That’s it!

It keeps well in the fridge for 3 days so it is a great option if you love meal prep.

The addition of Purition to your overnight oats makes it a more balanced option - the fibre, protein and healthy fats provide slow release energy to keep you fuelled and focused. No spikes = no crashes. Keeping your blood sugars stable means no mid-morning slumps!

3. Purition quick porridge - no oats, no cooking.

Fancy something warm? Cosy up with a bowl of instant Purition porridge. It's low carb, high protein, fibre and healthy fats. Ready in seconds - no cooking required!

Just add a splash of hot water or milk to a 40-50g of Purition and give it a good mix. You might have to add a bit more liquid depending on desired consistency.

4. Purition protein porridge

Classic porridge lover? Try adding Purition to your morning porridge bowl.

Adding Purition to your porridge provides a more balanced macronutrient ratio of fibre, healthy fats, protein and slow-release carbohydrates. This means you’ll stay fuelled and fuller for longer.

Make your oats with 30g oats and 150ml milk or nut milk, or as you normally would. Once heated, stir through 30 - 40g of your favourite Purition flavour and serve immediately.

Alternatively, mix Purition with some water to make a thick paste, before stirring into cooked porridge.

5. Purition pancakes

This is our go-to pancake recipe as it just requires 3 simple store cupboard ingredients you will probably already have at home, plus 40g of your favourite Purition.

Whether it’s for a weekend brunch or a special breakfast, you just can’t beat pancakes!

What you'll need:

  • 40g of Purition - any flavour
  • 50g of any flour.
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 150ml of your preferred milk

Mix all ingredients until smooth and let rest for 15 minutes. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan over medium heat. Pour 2-3 tbsp of batter per pancake and cook until bubbles form on the surface. Flip and cook until golden brown.

Makes 4 - 5 pancakes.

Gluten-free? Swap the flour out for your gluten-free choice, try coconut or almond flour instead. You might have to add a bit more milk depending on consistency.

6. Energy balls

Sweet tooth? You’ll love Purition energy balls. Make a batch each week and enjoy their lovely chewy texture and natural sweetness as a healthy alternative to sugar-packed, shop-bought sweet treats.

These are also perfect for the kid’s lunch box or as a healthy energy boost whilst out on a walk or hike.

What you'll need:

  • 40g of Purition - any flavour
  • 1 cup pitted dates
  • 1 cup unsalted mixed nuts

Soak the pitted dates in some off the boil boiled water for 5 minutes. In a food processor, pulse a cup of mixed nuts until roughly chopped. Drain the dates and add them to the processor along 40-50g of Purition. Pulse until combined. Smoosh the mixture together and roll into balls. Keep in the fridge and enjoy!

7. Use a shaker

If you’re really craving a shake but don’t have a blender available, you can use 40g Purition, 200–250ml of your favourite milk and a shaker.

The longer you leave it the thicker it gets. If you do this, give it another quick shake immediately before you drink it.

Be aware, shaking Purition has a completely different texture when prepared this way – much thinner, with a delicious and nutritious nutty crunch at the end!

You can use any kind of protein or cocktail shaker.
